From December to March, Full Moon Resort, nestled in a valley surrounded by snow-caps, is a magical world of its own - a perfect setting for destination winter weddings in the Catskill Mountains. Picture a weekend of friends and family enjoying the splendor of the property's snow-covered lawns and meadows, the grandeur of the neighboring mountain ski centers, fireside gatherings, comfortable guest rooms and excellent cuisine - all wrapped in the warm blanket of a very special celebration of love.
For a weekend-long wedding event, guests arrive on Friday to a fireside winter barbeque in the Café... followed by an evening with smores and hot rum apple cider in the glow of a streamside campfire. After a comfortable night in one of the facility's lodges or cottages, wake up to a full country buffet breakfast. Acres of fields, trails and gentle slopes are just right for cross country skiing and snowshoeing (Guests must bring equipment). For downhill skiers, Belleayre Mountain, one of the premier family ski centers in the state, is just ten miles down the road. And for those who simply prefer the comforts of the inn at Full Moon, complimentary hot chocolate, organic coffees and herbal teas are available throughout the day.
The Saturday winter wedding format is as follows:
- Ceremony in a heated, artistically rustic barn with stone fireplace.
- Cocktail Hour with service of two passed hors d'oeuvres and one tabled hors d'oeuvres presentation, along with full open bar, in the lobby area of the Inn.
- Wedding Dinner, including choice of two entrees, two sides, salad, bread, dessert and coffee services, along with two hours of full open bar, in the Café.
- Party in the Performance Space, included full PA system, stage and dance lighting. Clients have the option to purchase additional bar time.
On Sunday morning, guests arise to a "farewell brunch" in the Café amidst warm hugs and fond goodbyes.
Winter weddings at Full Moon Resort are generally for groups of up to one hundred persons. Please call regarding special discounted winter rates. Full Moon also offers further reduced rates for children, 5-12 years, with no charge for infants/toddlers under 5 years.
