Plattekill Mountain Biking

April to November, Plattekill Mountain a.k.a "Bike" Plattekill, features over 60 miles of lift-served mountain bike trails and is host to a series of N.O.R.B.A sanctioned (National Off-Road Biking Association) mountain bike races. Plattekill also features chair lift rides, hiking trails and camping and is also available for private parties, banquets and weddings.

Plattekill is open every weekend and holiday from 10am-5pm with a full-service base lodge offering all the amenities including retail shop, full line of bike rentals, repair shop, cafeteria and outdoor grill.

For those looking to get into the sport of mountain biking, “Learn-to-Bike” packages offer rental package incentives to try out the mountain with over 60 miles to choose from. For the more advanced, Plattekill’s steep chutes and big drops are par for the course and have been known to give some of the world's best riders a run for their money.

A big part Plattekill's reputation has been built on their commitment to mountain biking and racing. Plattekill is NOT a corporate chain-style mountain resort with trendy restaurants, condos and water parks. Plattekill is a rider’s mountain where the experience is riding your bike and pushing yourself to new levels.

For almost 10 years, Plattekill has been one of the Northeast's premier destination for downhill mountain biking and freeriding. The technical terrain is among the best on the East Coast and has helped Plattekill earn a worldwide reputation as a mountain biking paradise. The trails at Plattekill range from fast, open runs to tight rocky single-track.

Thousands of riders challenge themselves on Plattekill's rugged terrain. BIKE Magazine, March '03 voted Plattekill “One of the Top 5 Places to Ride in the U.S.”, and Hooked on the Outdoors, June '04 June '04 rated Plattekill as a "Classic bike park...that has long been on the bike park bandwagon."
