For the past nine years, Full Moon Resort has hosted a splendid array of musical performances – from national touring bands and singer/songwriters to regional artists from the Woodstock area. Whether for concerts, parties, seminars or teaching workshops, Full Moon has become a premier venue in the Catskill region for music events of all types. The musical quilt has come in many colors: Blues, Bluegrass, Reggae, Rock n’ Roll, Jazz, Folk, Funk, Old-Time, Klezmer, with the entire spectrum of variations… and the facility has always been a mainstay for touring groups in the improvisational "jam-band" scene.
The recent summer schedule included workshops with Medeski, Martin and Wood (jazz trio), Jorma Kaukonen, (internationally renowned guitarist for Hot Tuna and Jefferson Airplane), and Dweezil Zappa’s “Camp Dweezilla,” featuring members of Zappa Plays Zappa.
Full Moon also hosted Truck America -the
American debut of England’s heralded Truck Festival- in early May this year, with acts such as Mercury Rev performing in 3 different locations around the facility.
