Hunter Mountain Trail Map

Traditionally owned and operated Hunter Mountain, first opened in 1960, is located in the northern tier of the Catskill Mountain High Peaks. With a variety of programs and workshops for all ages, all year long, Hunter is truly a four season family resort. The mountain sports an elevation of 3200 feet and a vertical drop of 1600 feet, with 53 trails and 11 lifts, 35 miles of trails over 240 skiable acres with 100% snowmaking capacity and terrain spread over 3 mountains: Hunter Mountain, Hunter One and Hunter West.

A large selection of tickets and passes as well as many specialized deals allow you to customize your visit to Hunter to meet your ski/ride budget.

Hunter Mountain picture Hunter's nationally recognized award winning Ski & Snowboarding School, implementing unique and effective learn-to-ski and ride programs, is part of the 33000 sq-ft Learning Center, built in 2001, a custom ski and ride center designed with visitor ease and convenience in mind. And for newbies, there's Hunter One, a specially designated beginners area. Group and private 1-1 lessons are offered by a professional, patient and friendly staff.

There are many competitive clubs for the 12 and older group, such as Junior Apline, Freestyle and Snowboard teams. Also, a variety of two day specialized adult workshops and plenty of season-long children's programs (such as the Start Early "Explorers"(4-6 yrs old) and "Mountaineers" (for kids 7-12) programs) add to the mix. Hunter also offers NASTAR racing, snow tubing, and snowshoeing.

Hunter Mountain Sports and Expedition Center offers a selection of year round gear for every mountain need,and the newly expanded Board Room, is Hunter's featured one-stop snowboard shop.
